As much as I hate to admit it, but you were right.

Don’t expect too much.

I’ve grown to accept that it’s okay to fail. It’s okay to take a different path from others. It’s okay to move on because that’s how life goes on, right?

One of those questions that I dread: “Can I borrow your pen/pencil?”

I don’t mind lending out pens/pencils, but when I use high quality pens and pencils, and people end up doing doing weird stuff to them, I really get annoyed. People do have weird pen habits like chewing on them, licking them, sucking on them, and squeezing them.

People are selfish too. They end up forgetting to return my pens or keep them. Then, there are those that use my pen to doodle a whole page and waste my ink.

So, I found a few resolutions. I decided to invest in cheap pens, the type that come in batches of 10 or so. I also decided not to place my pencil case on the desk.

And just fyi, once you start saying yes to people who ask for pens, they come back for more. The same goes for paper. It’s like getting addicted to drugs or something.
